The Leoni Township Downtown Development Authority has been in operation since it was officially formed by ordinance on August 19, 1987 by the Leoni Township Board of Trustees. The Leoni DDA was created to protect property values, promote economic development, and support new private investment along the Michigan Avenue/Ann Arbor Road Corridor.
